Hitachi Zosen Inova Logo

Due to being one of the best waste-to-energy plant manufacturers in the market, Hitachi Zosen Inova AG from Switzerland were chosen, by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in Turkey for its Energy from Waste (EfW) plant, to be the largest of its kind in Europe.

A globally active clean-tech company in the field of EfW and renewable gas, Hitachi Zosen Inova required the highest quality boiler cleaning solution available for this project at the Istanbul Waste Incineration Plant. They chose Clyde Bergemann on-load boiler cleaning solutions, to increase boiler efficiency, extend boiler availability and ensure controlled degradation of deposits.

Working in partnership with Clyde Bergemann in Germany, a fully inclusive service was supplied, with commissioning completed by Clyde Bergemann Turkey personnel in summer 2021. The waste incineration plant was equipped with a cost-effective design of Clyde Bergemann oscillating and part-retractable sootblowers. The plant with a capacity to process 3000 tons per day, which equates to 15% of municipal solid waste in Istanbul, and 1 million tons per year, has 77 MW power capacity.

The global reach of the Clyde Bergemann organisation proves highly advantageous to sites and suppliers worldwide. Going forward, Clyde Bergemann will continue to be available to the site for years to come for servicing and parts throughout the entire lifespan of the equipment.
