Clyde Bergemann’s Continuing Success in the European Waste-to-Energy Market
Waste-to-Energy Success Europe

Clyde Bergemann is proving to be the partner of choice for on-load boiler cleaning in the waste-to-energy industry in Europe after securing a number of large project successes in the European market in recent months, including plants in the UK, Olsztyn in Poland and Mannheim in Germany. For over 20 years, Clyde Bergemann has supported customers in the waste-to-energy industry with innovative and state-of-the-art systems and solutions to run plants as reliably, efficiently and safely as possible.

Waste incinerators can face many difficulties when slagging forms in the furnace or fouling builds up on the convective heating surfaces. These deposits reduce heat transfer and induce corrosion, resulting in limited plant availability and reduced efficiency – managing this is essential.

Clyde Bergemann’s proven technology makes an important contribution to optimised, efficient and low-emission steam generation processes and with our on-load boiler cleaning equipment, controls and diagnostics and SMART Clean systems, our customers can depend on our expert advice and support to ensure plants run as effectively as possible. As the market leader for on-load boiler cleaning solutions globally, our customers can be sure our reliable and robust supply chain will help us to deliver the highest-quality products and service, despite the current challenges with material availability in the market.

Clyde Bergemann’s recognised reputation and experience have resulted in a number of successful orders in the last few months alone in the waste-to-energy industry. In addition to our global success in growing markets throughout Asia, Clyde Bergemann has secured orders from customers in Germany, Poland, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, in plants that can process more than 2 million tonnes of residual waste per annum and generate more than 100 MWe. Our scope of supply for these projects will include Clyde Bergemann SMART Shower Clean Systems (SCS), SMART Rapping Systems, a range of oscillating, retractable and part-retractable sootblowers and support with commissioning and controls for new-build plants and existing plants requiring upgrades across Europe.

Despite strong competition for the projects, Clyde Bergemann’s expertise and knowledge of the industry were key factors in the selection process and together with our proven technology will allow the sites to reduce CO2 emissions and achieve lower operating costs, due to increased efficiency. We now look forward to delivering the projects on time and to the full satisfaction of our customers.
